visit to austin

I visited my folks and interviewed for work in january. I stopped by the lake to see how low it's gotten and was amazed at every view. I snapped this shot at graveyard point. The usual waterline would be just in front of those bushes.

We finally shot Race's Christmas rocket present one calm morning when he reminded me there was no wind. On arriving in the fields near the ocean, there actually was at least a 5mph breeze but angling the 'moonshot' into the wind made it float back on the breeze and once nearly landed right where we stood. Pretty cool considering the engines in it were rated to shoot it 600 feet up!

Sunny planned a great family outing one afternoon with a sandwich picnic at the end of the pier one calm afternoon. It was a lot of fun and worth every minute. Simple sandwich and cheese picnics are way underrated!!
