Happy 6th Anniversary to us!

Six years into this mortal/spiritual hook-up and each year gets better! We just returned from 3 days away. Two days were spent in Bastrop. Bruising overnight thunderstorms resulted in us staying in two different bed/breakfast places in Bastrop's historic district. We enjoyed it a lot more than camping this time around as we both wanted to sleep uninterrupted...by children or a soggy, collapsing tent. The homes we stayed at were beautiful big homes from the 1800s(http://www.bastroptexas.net/around_bastrop/events/homes_tour2003.htm, http://www.millersyellowrose.com/) and we ate out when we felt like it. We also hiked, rollerbladed, read on the porch (no wind!),

watched tv in bed (the first time since we had an apartment in 2000), and took frequent naps with no shame. Nothing like an overdue holiday to just kick back awhile. Now if we could have some of that rain on padre island. It's briefly sprinkled here 3 times in 7 months. Nothing to really wet the ground in over half a year. That's nuts!
