Flat-Water Beach
We live down the street from Whitecap beach, named so probably because most days it's a tumultuous chaotic washing machine of small disorganized waves. I'd planned on attempting to surf on earlier mentioned 9ft surfboard. One bro felt crummy and couldn't make it; the other's wife came home early so they started their plans. It worked out well since there were ZERO waves. It was a beautiful day though for beach fun though. Days like this are a few per year.
Gwen and I had a good time netting mullet and watching big Drum fish move under the pier. The water was actually clear enough for snorkeling around the huge bait swarms that were flashing with big fish slashing thru them.
My only bummer was not getting surf-schooled by my experienced surf bro.
G
et better soon "Spike"!
Gwen was fascinated by the baby sharks someone left on the pier table.
