A laguna cruise and dinner

Daniel and Alisa invited us for dinner. Daniel had recently promised the girls a boat ride and shortly after arriving he said "Let's get in the boat" The girls were all grins when we backed out of his dock and started down the canal. Later, in the big choppy water in the open laguna, Gwen and I got big-time splashed on the front deck. Gwen got cold, wrapped herself in a blanket and clung to my leg for the last 20min but remained in good spirits. Back at the house, they treated us to big fatty ribeye steaks from Daniel's smoker. Very tasty. Alisa made a fantastic dish of stirred spinach lightly cooked with crushed garlic and lemon juice. I couldn't get over it. I could've eaten until I split open. They are the most gracious hosts ever. Thanks for a great evening, Wags!
Their boat is very comfy and fast. I forsee us buzzing out to the nearshore oilrigs some Aug-Oct when the seas are flat and blue. It will be a banner season for bigger fish....
