The Goose's gander surfed and got shot

d I were at the beach yesterday when a Canadian goose just strolled by at the waterline. I'd never seen one around here and since I had my bow handy I sh
ot it. I got a good chest shot at 25yards. This didn't faze the goose.
Ok actually it's a hand-carved, painted bird with the bill accidentally broken off. An onlooker, laughing her rear off said "Take him surfing!!" Why didn't I think of that? The goose did pretty well and after returning to the shore I glanced two arrows off him, broke anoth
er (see broken arrow in Casey's hand), and sunk another chest shot. The wood is really dense (it's a heavy carving) and removing the
arrows will take some doing.

Glad you you got to shoot the goose, even if it wasn't real! I'm sure the thrill was still accomplished if you used your imagination!
I will never fully understand men and I don't think I really want to. I guess this is better than shooting it with a pistol and home-made suppressor.
