The toothbrusher, my birthday, and rollerblades

all the other day I see Race standing on a stool brushing his teeth. Last I checked, I had to hold the brush and do it for him and he may have been walking...Amazing how time flies.
I had a great 39th bday Monday, labor day. Surf was up from hurricane Gustav and while I had a great time trying to catch waves at dawn, they came in fast, folded immediately, and only a few were caught by anyone. I did manage to have my cell phone drown on the beach at the foot of the seawall. R
eplacement phone arrives in a week. It was worth it though for a day spent in split shifts on the beach. I was there all day with nothing else on my mind.
Later at home the kids gave me some bday presents.
Tw0 days before my good friend and neighbor and I finally w
ere able to go skating. It's never a full skating trip without him throwing a decent wipeout. I managed to catch this one as he was getting into a backwards skate.

Race looks so big with short hair! Your girls have definitely been hit too many times with a pretty stick. And seeing people fall is about my favorite thing ever. Happy Birthday!!

Happy birthday!!! What's with the eighties gear? You've got the neon and Blue's got the hot pink wheels! I've got to come down and show you guys how to roller blade. It was so nice of you to take pictures of your friend eating the concrete.
