A landmark event at our house
We got cable... Maybe that's a good thing. Maybe it's a sewage pipe into the living room.
It could go either way but it looks like a non issue so far because for the last few years our tv was used fora few kids movies or the news. The kids aren't used to commercials. After two hours of surfing cartoon channels and animal planet, the kids were off again doing something else. Cable feels like paying extra to surf reruns and commercials. I like seeing the news whenever I turn it on though. Sunny and I only had cable when it came with our apt for one year in 2000. If you estimate 50$/month for 7 years that is easily $4200.00 saved by never having cable...not to mention hours of life better spent. I only had it installed because AT&T couldn't get our DSL back on. They could bill me for it, but just couldn't get around to turning it on. When I got a deal that was only 10$ more/month for cable and internet installed that afternoon, I told AT&T to get lost.
They had a technician at the house in 2hrs. jokers.
At years end I'll cancel cable unless they keep the same rate but I'll try and chince'em down when I start cancelling. It will be fun since I don't care for cable and all those companies are posting profit losses now. Seems so many of us are looking for ways to trim expenses now. One great thing about economic nati
onwide bankruptcy is society looking to cut out the unnecessary things. This mandates life inventory, hopefully bringing a new recognition of what really matters anyway. What really matters is friends and family. Call them one at a time this spring and compliment them on something they do that brings happiness and value to you and yours.

They are beautiful (your girls)! Daniel and I got cable the same day you did, and I'm starting to wonder if it's really worth it. I think any channel with commercials should be free.
