A great day off work...
Yesterday was the best day off work.
It started with a long walk and play in the park with Sunny and
the girls. Then I spent the afternoon at the beach preparing the spot (with help from many friends) for a big grillout fajita time with the home group from my church. Turnout was great. Kevin towed me on the skimboard a bit, the first of the season.
After 11pm and everything was cleaned up, I returned to the beach site alone and burned 4 more pallets and just strummed guitar and listened to the radio until 1:30a.m. These little mice came from the dunes to eat my sunflower seeds and actually let me rub their backs as they stuffed their cheeks with seeds. At 130a this dude pulls up asking for cans. He was a little gung ho and k
inda clean cut, so I figured he was undercover DEA watching for drug runners. He was amazed that all that
trash was in the bins (from 20 people picnicing) and no beer cans. "It was our church group" "What church? I'm new here trying to start life over." I told him and we swapped numbers. I could never be sure if he was law enforcement or not. I got stopped and searched by the cops on the way home so I figured he mustve called them to search me. At home, he calls me at 2am to say he never found an item I'd lost there. I still wonder if that was just to confirm I was who I said or if he was just a lonely guy needing a fr
iend. Doesn't change anything, but makes for a unique ending to a great day. I'm just glad it didn't wake t

Gross, gross, gross. Can't believe you touched that thing. I bet playing on the beach with a fire was awesome, though. I can vividly imagine that.
Your mom looks really good.
I second that... eeeeoooowww. Not into the rodent lovin' but whatever?! I'm totally curious about the stranger on the beach. Any word from him again?
Okay love the pic's of the mice. They are too cute. That was an interesting thing about the guy on the beach and that he called you. Anyway great pic's. Doug and I were just in Pet Smart looking at all the mice and ferrets there. We always stop and look at all the critters when we go there.

Sounds like a great day, although I'm disappointed that you have been drawn back into the mice smuggling lifestyle. I'm glad to hear the Varmint Enforcement Agency was keeping you accountable.
you are a wild man. i know that's why sunny loves you.
The Wagners wished we could have been there! We'll have to make it up to you guys!
