A morning with Claire Nadine
Parents understand both the need to spend some alone time with just one of their c
hildren and the need to free the spouse from "dealing" with said child. I took Claire on a road trip (all of 3 miles from the house...) to see the beach and some horses' stable. We both came back with a memorable experience. Her- the horses, and me with a calm, low tide, no wind hour at the beach with her.
The pic of her standing is one of those photos where a parent catches a glimpse of what their child may look like as a young adult. The tide was so low you could play football from the dunes to the water's edge. You can see the beach extending below the pier house and ghost shrimp mounds (found at waterline) all around Claire in the pic of her squatting down. The horses weren't scared of Claire. We each had a great time in our own
way, and most importantly, we were together for that time. She didn't want to leave the horses without riding one. I didn't want to leave the beach without riding a w
ave. Neither got those wishes filled, but we sure had fun anyway. Gwen is jealous.

Wow! Claire's expression in the middle picture totally makes her look 15! She is so pretty! Who cares about the wave. Let the girl ride a horse!!!
She does look very grownupish in that middle picture. She is quite stunning!
