Beach meteor show becomes mosquito meat draw

Two days ago was supposed to be a great meteor shower during a new moon (no moonlight=great meteor viewing. Calm winds made it the seemingly perfect evening to go a bit out beyond the pier lights into the unlit beach area far from town for a great shooting star shore show. It was a fun evening until sundown when a cloud of mosquitos set upon us relentlessly. No point in spraying deet now. You're already bleeding. We headed home and heard it wasn't that remarkable this year anyway. Well at any rate Race got a shoulder ride (his favorite thing) and we had a great visit with Kev and Shaina.
